Ford is bringing workwear brand Carhartt into the F-150 lineup with a new 2027 edition built around the XLT 4×4 Crew Cab. The package pairs distinctive styling and durable cabin details with the familiar F-150 platform. Ford has announced that it is available to order, with availability planned for early 2027. The launch is part of a broader round of changes to the F-150 range.
A Carhartt-Inspired F-150
The Carhartt edition adds visual details inside and out, including unique 20-inch wheels, Carhartt badging, fender vents and graphics along the rocker panels and tailgate. A branded spray-in bedliner is designed to protect the truck bed, while off-road running boards and a modified grille give the exterior a more rugged look.
Inside, two-tone seat covers draw on Carhartt workwear, with contrast stitching carried across the door trim, centre console lid and steering wheel. Branded all-weather floor mats complete the package. Ford presents the result as a truck for both work and everyday use, though the edition’s distinctive materials and graphics will likely be as much a draw as its practical equipment.
What’s Changing Across The F-150 Range

The Carhartt edition is one part of a wider update for 2027. Ford is introducing a new standard 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 in place of the previous 2.7-litre engine. The company says the new engine delivers more torque in the part of the power range drivers use most often. The 5.0-litre V8 is also returning to the King Ranch and Platinum trims, making it available across the lineup.
Ford is also adding BlueCruise with Towing to equipped F-150 models. The driver-assistance system is designed to allow hands-free driving on designated highways while towing, where the system is available and operating conditions are met. Drivers must keep their eyes on the road and remain ready to take control.
Some trims are receiving new grille and wheel designs, while new entry-level versions of the Tremor and Raptor are intended to make their off-road hardware available at a lower price point. Together, the changes touch the F-150’s engines, technology, appearance and trim choices.
A Workwear Collaboration With Daily Use In Mind

The Carhartt package extends a Ford and Carhartt partnership already seen on the Super Duty. On the F-150, the collaboration is applied to a more widely used model, and its equipment blends protective touches with brand-specific design. The spray-in bedliner and all-weather mats have clear practical roles; the seat covers and exterior graphics give the truck its identity.
Because the package is based on the XLT Crew Cab, buyers can start with a mainstream F-150 configuration rather than a dedicated high-performance model. Its appeal will depend on whether customers value the Carhartt detailing enough to choose it over other ways of equipping an XLT.
What Buyers Should Watch

Ford has confirmed the package’s configuration and planned early-2027 availability. The final experience will depend on market-specific ordering details, pricing and delivery timing as trucks reach dealerships. Buyers comparing it with other F-150 trims should also consider the wider 2027 updates, particularly the revised engine lineup and availability of BlueCruise with Towing.
MaxTake
The 2027 F-150 Carhartt gives Ford’s familiar pickup a clear new look, with bed and cabin protection to support the styling. It arrives alongside changes that matter across the lineup, from a new standard engine to towing-focused driver assistance and more accessible off-road versions. For buyers drawn to Carhartt’s workwear aesthetic, the edition offers a factory-built way to bring that identity to an F-150.
